I planned KindPeoples’ first-ever “Legal Sale Day” on January 1, 2018, garnering international media attention.
I worked with KindPeoples, a popular Santa Cruz dispensary, to promote the first-ever “Legal Sale Day” on January 1, 2018 as California’s new cannabis laws took effect. Coordinating publicity, PR and event planning, I was able to successfully garner international media attention.
I also conceived, wrote and produced an edibles safety campaign dubbed “Go Low & Slow” composed of posters, brochures, video and print advertising aimed at educating customers on best practices for consuming THC.
As part of a 4/20 Grand Opening celebration for KindPeoples in 2019, I coordinated an event at the neighboring Hotel Paradox dubbed “Cannabis, Food & Wine.” Including 30 vendor booths, beer and wine tasting, unmedicated samples from edibles purveyors, educational panel programming, catering and a carving station, and live music, this free event delighted over 700 community members. I also presented a seminar on “Pairing Cannabis with Food, Wine and Cuisine” based on the science of terpenes.
